I wanted to make sure that my baby’s first Christmas was special.
A baby’s first Christmas ornament is an excellent keepsake—and personally one of my favorites. You may have pictures and salt dough hand prints up on the walls, but I think a first Christmas ornament is something you will tend to appreciate more.
This is not to say that you don’t appreciate your baby’s newborn pictures (because I KNOW they are adorable!) But see, Christmas only happens once a year.
Which means you probably only get out your Christmas decorations and ornaments once a year.

SILVER CHARM ORNAMENT
I think this silver charm ornament is super classy, and it would look great with almost any kind of Christmas tree decor.
The nice thing about that is if you decide to change up your decorating later on, you can do so without worrying about it clashing (not that I worry about it anyway–I don’t care about having a “clashing” Christmas tree!)
You can choose what charm you would like in the middle. Some options include baby feet, a pacifier, and a heart.
ELEPHANT KEEPSAKE ORNAMENT
The little banner included on this elephant keepsake ornament makes it seem playful to me. This ornament is laser engraved and cut from Birch plywood.

If you don’t really care about getting something your baby’s first Christmas ornament personalized, you can go with a normal first Christmas ornament.

SET OF 4 PORCELAIN MINI ORNAMENTSI love all things mini (like babies!) and I almost wanted to purchase these mini ornaments because they are so cute. This set comes with a mini duck, shoes, a pram, and a rocking horse.

GRANDBABY’S FIRST ORNAMENT
It was a big deal when my first baby was born. I was the first to have kids in my generation, and so this grandbaby ornament would have been perfect for grandma.

ALUMINUM PHOTO ORNAMENT
This aluminum photo ornament is more than meets the eye. Honestly, I thought it was a cardboard circle cutout when I first looked at it.

LASER-CUT PHOTO ORNAMENT
This laser cut photo ornament is made with alder wood, and comes with any color of ribbon you want.

SUGAR COOKIE PHOTO ORNAMENT
This baby’s photo ornament is super cute, and has a handmade look to it (at least I think so!)
This ornament is made of plastic. I know that porcelain ornaments tend to look better, but you WON’T want breakable things hanging on a tree if you have young children or cats.
Honestly, I am not even sure why we decorate our tree because our cat is always knocking things off.
This brushed pewter ornament is another GREAT option for your child’s doting grandparents.
The downside to this product is as of this writing, it is not eligible for Amazon prime–but they do same day shipping.
PERSONALIZED PHOTO FRAME ORNAMENT
Again, I don’t feel there is a bit of difference between “boy and girl colors”, but here you have it. This adorable photo frame ornament comes in either pink or blue.

I liked this beach trip ornament because it’s not necessarily something you need to do this year–you just want to do it on your baby’s first beach trip!
